Jackie Morris is willing to help out on the day as is Mrs Boxall Wrango. Jill Turner may also be available to help. Jenny is to speak with her to confirm.

Mrs Little has said that we can use Mr Hudsons classroom.

Teas, coffees, squash and cups, will need to be moved over before the day. We need to buy some funsize chocolate bars for the event and Sue Braybrooke will make some biscuits. Any left over biscuits can be returned to Sue. Other refreshments can be left in the PTA cupboard at Whitehill.

This is all organised and many thanks go to Gill Turner, Jackie Morris and Mrs Boxall Wrango for their help.

The netball activities start promptly at 9am and therefore Gill has agreed to go in at 8.30am to set up. Mr Goody will turn on the urn and Mrs Little is going to make sure it is in place the night before. Sue will give Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Squash, cups, spoons, biscuits, chocolate and a float to Gill before the day. Gill is going to bring the milk and tea pots.

    Notes from March 2008

This event was very well attended. When I passed by at about 10am, there were cars everywhere!

To give people an idea of what refreshments they need for this event in the future, here is a list of what we used on the day.

150 disposable cups - Tea and Coffee
About 2/3rds of a 200g jar of coffee
    60 Teabags
    10 pints/5 ltrs milk
Less than 1ltr bottle squash (1/2 orange, 1/2 blackcurrant)
Biscuits and cakes (sold out within the hour!). I made some biscuits, carrot cake, fairy cake muffins and Angela gave a bit pot of biscuits. Next year, biscuits only would be good, just a huge amount of them, probably about 150 (someone had to nip down the shop and buy 60 penquins which also sold out). We also sold twix and mars about 40 bars. Twix were much more popular and I would increase the numbers to 80 twix only next year.
You will also need to have napkins, teapots, jugs for carrying water to the urn, urn (ask Mrs Cook about this), binbags and teaspoons. The event started at 9am prompt but Mrs Little was there from about 7.30. Perhaps you could ask her to switch the urn on if the caretaker is unable to do this. The event finishes at about midday.
Gunnell Boxall-Wrango, Jackie Morris and Gill Turner did a fabulous job and are happy to do this again and I'd like to say how much we really appreciate all they did for us on the day.
    The event raised £100 profit.
