Easter Egg Hunt

We are gate crashing Sharon Coopers' annual Easter Egg hunt extravaganza on Easter Sunday (and she doesn't mind!) It's going to be held in the grounds of Whitehill School and will start at 11am.

It's always been a huge success but in order to maintain her fabulous rep., we need your help.

Please can you give us a little time either before the event, to help with all the jobs that need doing, or can you actually help on the big day - maybe put up a banner or two, man the refreshments or for the very brave, simply say yes to an unknown task! Everyone's invited from both of our schools, so there's going to be lots to do.

Please get in touch via blogg or drop your name into the school office with a phone no or e-mail.
Hope (very much) to hear from you soon.

    What a fabulous day we had! Jenny Sennitt kindly volunteered to run refreshments and she had help on the day from Gill Turner. This year, we had snow on the ground and it was freezing! The teas and coffees were greatly appreciated by everyone. Jenny made some chocolate crispie cakes and some chocolate bunnies and these seemed to go down very well. This is another event where home made biscuits would go down a treat! One thing I would say for next year is, anyone who buys a ticket, make sure you bring it with you. That way, if you don't want to stay for the races after the egg hunt, you can always collect your egg and leave early. This year, due to the cold, we did have a couple of little ones who got upset because they just wanted to go home but couldn't as they had to wait until the end for their rabbits.

    Things needed for this event;
    Someone to sell tickets for the event (Sue has a copy).
    People to go into school a little earlier to help Sharon hide the clues.
    People to help clear up after.
    Someone to turn the urn on early and a couple of people to serve.
    Tea, coffee, squash, sugar, milk, spoons, bin bags, cups, jugs for squash, water and milk, teapots and paper towels to wipe down surfaces.

    Sue
